David Leon Clark has over twenty years of experience in information technology systems and solutions and is currently the program manager responsible for the Information Assurance practice of Acton Burnell, Inc. of Alexandria, Virginia. Mr. Clark provides advice, support, and life cycle security consulting to federal and commercial clients. He designed the core curriculum for the Information Security Management (ISM) course of study, a graduate level program for the University of Virginia's School of Continuing and Professional Studies. A professional writer on high-tech topics, he is the author of IT Manager's Guide to Virtual Private Networks, along with numerous technology white papers and marketing literature.
Greg Gibson is Professor of Genetics at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, and of Integrative Biology at the University of Queensland, Australia. He is a leader in the new field of genomics, studying how interactions between genes and the environment affect human health and organismal evolution. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Basel, Switzerland, and did postdoctoral work at Stanford University. He is on the editorial boards of PLoS Genetics, Current Biology, Genetics, and other leading journals, and with Spencer V. Muse, coauthored A Primer of Genome Science, one of the field's leading textbooks, now in its third edition.

She has written several books for Facts on File, as well as an encyclopedia of microbiology for younger readers, and one trade book, The Five-Second Rule and Other Myths about Germs. She is a regular guest on Sirius/XM’s Martha Stewart Living Radio, where she takes callers’ questions on germs. Maczulak provides independent consulting services to small and growing companies, academic research laboratories, and analytical labs through her company, Acorn GLP Consulting.
